"In a hole in the ground, there lived a hobbit.." In this handbuilding class, you'll sculpt a Bag End-inspired planter using slab building and whimsical additions like round doors, stone textures, and mossy details. Once your piece has been sculpted, you'll add color and details with clay paints (underglaze). Planters will need 3 weeks to dry and be kiln-fired. Return to glaze your planter for free! No experience required.

-Tickets are per person and non-refundable.

-Age 9 and up, under 16 must have participating adult.

-Clay can get messy. Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Aprons will be provided.

-You will receive a text message when your pottery has been fired and is ready for glazing.

-All pottery not picked up within 60 days will be subjected to donation.

Let’s carve! In this class, you’ll create a platter using slab techniques, then learn the art of sgrafitto— a surface decoration method where you carve through a colored underglaze to reveal the clay beneath. Try your hand at carving florals, stars, checkerboard patterns, vines, textures, or anything else that inspires you. A perfect class for illustrators, doodlers, and pattern lovers.

Pieces made in class will be ready in 3 weeks, after they have dried and been kiln-fired. You can either choose a color for us to glaze your pieces for you, or return to the studio to glaze them yourself during open hours for no additional fee. Either way, you will receive a text message when they are ready for you. All pottery not picked up within 60 days will be subjected to donation.

Important Details:

-Clay can get messy. Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Aprons will be provided.

-Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks. All drinks must have a covered top.

-This class is for ages 10 and up. All under age 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult.

It's time to Wake & Shake the Dead! We're ready to Rattle Some Bones at this year's SBC Zombie Walk! Whether they're picked clean or still have a bit of meat on their bones, we're inviting every Spooky Skelly in the SBC to come and party in the East Bank District at the 2025 SBC Zombie Walk: Bone Bash!

This year's Zombie Walk will be Saturday, October 11th in the East Bank District & Plaza from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana will be joining us once again to collect canned food donations in their mission to Fight Hunger in Northwest Louisiana, LifeShare Blood Center will be onsite collecting Blood Donations from the freshest of Zombies, and this year's Tertiary Nonprofit will be the Shriners Children's Shreveport who will be collecting donations towards their Spinal Care Program!

We’re bringing back all of your Freaky Favorites of the Zombie Walk including the Macabre Vendor Market, the Creative Costume Contests, Door Prizes, Live Music, Games, Food Trucks, and Much More - including Children's Entertainment and Activities!

Boo! But like, the cute kind. In this class, you’ll handbuild your own ghost-shaped mug—perfect for sipping coffee, cocoa, or something a little more spirited. We’ll use slab and pinch techniques to shape each mug and add sculptural ghosty features like arms, drapey little sheet folds, a pumpkin friend, etc. Finish it off with underglaze to give your ghost a face, blushy cheeks, or even dainty florals for vintage sheets.

Two vases are better than one, especially when they're made by you! In this class, we'll roll and stack coils of clay to create a set of bud vases, perfect for single stems, tiny arrangements, or just showing of their sculptural forms. Feel free to make them compliment each other, or entirely unique! This class is entirely beginner friendly! Vases will need 3 weeks for drying and firing. Pick a color for glazing, or return to the studio to glaze for free!

Double, double, coil and trouble! In this class, we’ll conjure up handmade cauldrons perfect for use in the kitchen, storing trinkets, or just spooky shelf decor. In this class, you’ll use the coil method, shaping your cauldron from the base up before adding details like handles, feet, and lids if you so choose.
